CUSTOM SOFTWARE DEVELOPMENT
We design, build and operate customer-facing products and operational systems around the workflows, rules and data that make your business different. Work directly with our founders from the first product decision through launch and continued improvement.

WHERE CUSTOM SOFTWARE EARNS ITS PLACE
Custom development is usually justified when an important outcome depends on company-specific rules, several existing systems or an experience customers cannot get elsewhere. If an existing product solves the problem well, we will say so.
Turn a validated idea, uncertain brief or working prototype into a dependable web, mobile or SaaS product ready for real users.
EXAMPLE · CUSTOMER OR PARTNER PLATFORM
Bring spreadsheets, email, documents, approvals and disconnected tools into one coherent operational system.
EXAMPLE · CASE AND APPROVAL SYSTEM
Add a significant capability, replace a fragile workflow or rebuild ageing software without discarding everything that still works.
EXAMPLE · LEGACY WORKFLOW REBUILD
SELECTED CUSTOM SOFTWARE EXAMPLE
ZapFolder is included as supporting evidence for the full product lifecycle described above—from product definition and UX through engineering, launch and continued operation.

SUPPORTING CASE STUDY · FOUNDER-BUILT PRODUCT
Visual feedback was arriving through disconnected messages, files and tools. We designed and built a multi-tenant review platform that brings versions, comments, permissions and approvals into one coherent product—and continued operating and improving it after launch.
ONE SENIOR TEAM
The same senior people help define the product, make the technical decisions and take it into production. You review working software throughout—not presentation-only progress.
Define the users, workflow, business rules, technical risks and smallest meaningful release.
PRODUCT SCOPE + DELIVERY PLAN
Design and engineer the product in reviewable increments, testing difficult assumptions before they become expensive.
WORKING SOFTWARE
Release with monitoring, documentation and a clear route for support and continued product development.
PRODUCTION SYSTEM
BUILT FOR PRODUCTION
Testing, security, monitoring, recovery and documentation are matched to the risk the system carries. Your code and infrastructure remain accessible to you, and ongoing support is available without creating dependency.
Authentication, permissions and safeguards matched to the system and its users.
Important workflows are checked before changes reach production.
Failures, performance and important events can be monitored and investigated.
Code, infrastructure and documentation do not disappear behind an agency.
A SENSIBLE CUSTOM BUILD
We will first establish whether a standard platform, configuration or smaller integration could solve the problem. A bespoke system becomes worthwhile when the workflow, customer experience or operational advantage carries enough value to justify continued ownership.

FAQ
We compare the important workflow, commercial value, integration needs and continued ownership cost with what established products can already provide. If configuration, a smaller integration or an existing platform solves the material problem, we will recommend that route.
Yes. We can assess an existing prototype, production system or inherited codebase and recommend whether to continue, stabilise, extend or selectively replace it. We can also work alongside an internal team or existing supplier where that is the sensible delivery model.
When scope or feasibility remains uncertain, a focused definition phase can establish the product direction, technical risks and smallest meaningful release. When the problem is already sufficiently understood, we can move directly into a bounded delivery project.
Ownership, access and handover expectations are agreed before work begins. Production accounts and infrastructure are set up so the client retains the appropriate organisational control, and project-specific code and documentation are handed over according to the engagement agreement.
We can remain involved to monitor, support and improve the system, or prepare it for an internal or third-party team. Launch is treated as the beginning of operational evidence rather than the end of responsibility.
PROJECT INTAKE / CUSTOM SOFTWARE
Tell us what needs to work, who uses it, which systems are already involved and where the current approach breaks down. We will help determine whether custom software is the right route and what a sensible first step looks like.
